Job Descriptions
- SMT Department: where Automated Placement machine programming skills are learned, including Solder Paste Design/Review/Printing, Automated Optical Inspection Programming/Optimization, and understanding the requirements and creation of Solder Reflow profi les for each different assembly produced. Also at SMT Department, the use of X-Ray machines to inspect for hidden defects is learned, and methods to interpret the X-Ray images as part of Failure Analysis.
- Testing Department: the emphasis is placed on learning and operating specific test stations and test programs, and Environmental Chambers. Flying Probe Testing and development of Flying Probe testing is one of the higher skill sets needed.
- Quality Assurance Department: an intern will learn the Standards in detail, and how to apply those standards to both planning and identifying/ruling out non-conformances
