Application Steps
1. Download and fill out the application form.

2. Gather the following materials

If the document is in a foreign language other than English and Korean, please attach an English or Korean translation and a translator’s confirmation.

- Personal Bank balance certificate with at least USD 8,000
- The latest bank statement at the time of application
Because of stricter immigration rules, students must submit a bank statement issued within 30 days of their visa application. An updated statement may be requested later if needed. - If your documents are not in English, Chinese, or Japanese, please attach a Korean or English translation with a signed confirmation from the translator.
- If the bank account is under your parents’ name, you must also submit a family or birth certificate.
- Financial documents showing assets like stocks, bonds, or investments are not accepted.
- Your bank statement must show at least $8,000 in one savings account.
- After sending by email, send the original document by express mail.
- If you already have an Alien Registration Card and want to change to a D-4-1 visa, you must submit a Korean bank statement under your name. Foreign bank statements are not accepted.

- If your country is not part of the Apostille Convention, your graduation certificate must be notarized by a Korean consulate.
- Submit an original apostille or consular notarization on your graduation certificate in the original language.
- If the certificate is not in Korean or English, include a notarized Korean or English translation along with the original.
- Upload a scanned copy of the apostille document (issued within 6 months) during application. If accepted, you must mail the original to the Korean Language Education Center.
- If your diploma is from a different country than where you're currently living, the apostille or notarization must be from the country where the school is located.
- Original documents will not be returned, so we recommend getting apostille/notarization on a certified copy, not the only original.

3. Scan all required documents with application form and submit via email.
4. Submit all original documents by express mail
What Happens Next
We will notify you by email of your application status within about two weeks of receiving your complete packet.
If you are accepted to the Korean Intensive Courses, you will receive instructions how to prepare for housing and arrival and pay your tuition and fees.
- Check the required documents during application process, as requirements may vary by country.
- Additional documents may be requested during the review process.
- Document review will begin once all required materials are submitted.
- Reasons for rejection will not be shared.
