Congratulations on being accepted into an Korean Language Program at Korean Language Education Center, Hallym University! We're excited to have you join us. Here's what you need to know as you get ready for your journey to Korea.
Before Your Arrival
1. Choose Your Arrival Date
Try to arrive a few days before orientation. This gives you time to rest and adjust to the time zone. If you have any issues with your visa or flight, contact us right away. We’ll let you know if a late arrival is possible.
2. Book Your Flight
If you plan to arrive in Seoul on an International Flight, purchase a ticket that flies to Incheon International Airport, the airport closest to Hallym campus.
3. Bring These Documents With You
- Passport and visa
- Copy of acceptance letter or proof of admission
At the Airport in Korea
1. Go Through Immigration
Show your passport and visa. Immigration may ask simple questions about your visit.
Be sure you get an entry stamp in your passport. If you don’t, ask for one before leaving immigration.
2. Pick Up Your Luggage
Follow the signs to baggage claim. Find the belt with your airline and flight number.
You may need to show your baggage claim ticket before leaving with your bags.
3. Pass Through Customs
After you pick up your baggage, you will go through Customs. Please make sure you can not bring fresh food or plants into Korea.
