Part-time Work Guidelines for Language Training Students (D-4 Visa)
- Korean Language Requirement
- Minimum requirement: TOPIK Level 2
- Eligibility to Work
- Students may apply for part-time work after 6 months of study in Korea.
- Allowed Working Hours
- Weekdays (during semesters): Up to 10 hours per week
- Weekends and school holidays: Up to 20 hours per week
- Special Conditions (for students at certified universities, with excellent grades or high Korean proficiency):
- If the student holds TOPIK Level 2: Up to 10 hours per week
- If the student does not hold TOPIK Level 2 but meets other requirements: Up to 25 hours per week
✅ Permitted Fields of Work
- General interpreting and translation
- Restaurant assistant
- General office assistant
- Tourist information assistant
- Sales assistant at duty-free shops
- Part-time or full-time seasonal jobs
- Internship activities related to the student's major (for D-2 visa holders, during vacation periods)
❌ Restricted Eligibility
- Part-time work is not permitted in the following cases:
- Students with a GPA below C (2.0) in the most recent semester at the time of application
- Students with an attendance rate below 90% in their completed Korean language course semesters
